The European Movement Midlands Branch is holding a debate, together with the Freedom Association, the LSE Midlands Alumni and the Newsquest Group, on 9 May, Europe Day.

The debate motion will be:

“THIS HOUSE SUPPORTS THE UNITED KINGDOM’S CONTINUING MEMBERSHIP OF THE EUROPEAN UNION”.

Local businessman Lawrence Brewer, Vice Chairman of the European Movement in the Midlands, will propose the motion, which will be opposed by Professor Tim Congdon, Chairman of The Freedom Association and a member of the Bruges Group.
