On 15 May the Central Hampshire Branch of the European Movement is holding in Winchester the next in the series of European Parliament Elections Debates.

The May 22nd 2014 European Parliament elections come at a crucial time for the development of the European Union and Britain’s place within it. For the next five years, MEPs will play a critical role in shaping the European economy and will take decisions that affect our everyday lives. The South East candidates for the elections from the five largest political parties in the UK will set out what they plan to do for you in Brussels over the next five years; the direction they would like to see Europe moving in; and what role Britain should play within it, or without.

This debate is held in the context of a series of events organised by the European Movement around the country, featuring candidates from all parties and discussing the European elections and what membership of the EU means for the UK.

Panel

  • Catherine Bearder MEP, Liberal Democrat
  • Daniel Hannan MEP, Conservative
  • John Howarth, Labour EP candidate
  • Keith Taylor MEP, Green Party
  • Alan Stevens, UKIP
